So this is our first episode, our first app, as they say, for our new podcast, older, wiser Wilder. So we're going to start off by first giving a little background into who we are by way of introduction, and then we'll talk about our first topic, which is something that we're both really passionate about, which is a daily. this has been a game changer for me in my life, and I think Nicole would agree with that too. So I hope you enjoy. Hi, my name is Eilish Bushier. My background is in design and branding, and I also teach Kundalini yoga and I'm an astrologer, and so what I do is I. These and more to help people to really step into who they are and to create the life they love living while they're building that legacy or that brand, that world that they are proud and inspired to grow into. So, Yeah, I'm pretty woo. Lots of magical practices. I work with the planets. I have worked with the moon for a long, long time, and I'm also really grounded. I always say that I do yoga so I can do life better. I meditate so I can do life better, and I practice magic so I can do life better. Um, and it's interesting that I came to branding, which is all about identity essentially, and about getting clear on your message and how you project yourself into the world. And that brought me to astrology and that also brought me to Kini Yoga, and now let me hand you over to Nicole Mandel Fus, who's the most gorgeous woman who lives on the other side of the world. We have lived such different lives, but we've become. Extraordinarily good friends, and it always makes for a great conversation. Nicole, hi. I'm so happy to be here with my beautiful friend, Eilish. My background is, uh, I've done a lot of different things. I'm a lawyer, I've been an event planner, but now I am a jewelry artist. I make jewelry. crystals of all natures and sterling silver. And I also practice a variety of healing arts, including crystal therapy, Reiki, Ayurveda, breathing techniques, and am always on the look to learn more. But I also have decided me. That is pretty woo. But I've also can be very, I can also be very practical as. But the bottom line is, I think for the purposes of this podcast, always interested in learning and discovering something new and primarily around the areas of living the best life. I can live well into a very advanced age, so, and we met because I also designed jewelry and that's how we met. That was our first encounter, and I think that must been nearly 10 years ago. I think it is 10 years ago now. And the funny thing is we've never actually met face-to-face, but we will. No. And but we've discovered that we know people in common, which is the most hilarious thing ever. So, so people we know have met each other, but we've not met each other. So, so the, so we're going to do this podcast. We're going to pick a particular topic. Episode and speak about it. And so the topic for today is something that we both are really passionate about, which is a daily practice. So Nicole, can you introduce how you came to a daily practice and what you feel are the benefits of it? Absolutely, absolutely. And then we just have a conversation and see where it takes us. And I'm sure I need to learn. Well, I don't really remember how it all started. I think probably in my younger years I was interested in meditation. I vaguely remember trying it from time to time and you know, kind of trying to, you know, wrestling with how do I work this into my schedule and. At that time, I most likely was working much more of a full-time job and also had smaller children. So that set of circumstances obviously, is something to work around. One of my blessings, I think, is that I love to wake up early. I love to be up in the morning, and it's always been very important to me. to have time by myself in the morning. So I really, the ideal day the way my day goes the best is to get up at 5:30 AM which sounds early to a lot of people, and it is early, but again, the blessing of not needing a lot of sleep, but also over the years I've found that to have the foundation. The day set before I head into it makes all the difference in the way I feel in terms of groundedness, in terms of embodiment and just in terms of, of being who I am. So I'll just give a brief rundown of what that looks like right now. And of course, it's a dynamic ever-changing process, so. Wake up and get into an armchair in our bedroom and meditate right away. And I kind of ease into that meditation in a variety of ways. But I have studied tm, and so I do use my mantra through tm. I tend to use a little breathing going into it just to get myself settled. And so most days I do accomplish meditating for. 20 minutes, and then I have some prayers that I like to sort of read that I've, you know, just keep them on my notes on my phone. Just things I like to touch base on in my mind in terms of, you know, a lot has to do with gratitude, my place in the world, holding those close to me, my life, you know, in my heart for that moment, and then entering the day. and then I go and have my breakfast and read the paper and look at some emails, blah, blah, blah. And then I, I come back in and I pull, I, I, I take a few notes about the day. I'm not, not gonna say I'm a journaler. I would love to be, it's not my strong suit, but I do write down a few sentences about, you know, what's going on, what happened the day before, what I anticipate the day bringing, et cetera. And I do have a look at the moon cycles where, where the moon is, what the astrological scenario looks like, and then I kind of make note of how I'm feeling within that. And I use the structure of the four elements, Firewater air, and. To kind of make notes about that. And I usually just rate myself on a scale of, of, uh, one to five for that. And then I pull a variety of cards. I kind of have different things I like to work with. Always tarot cards. I do kind of a body mind, soul, heart pull. And then I usually do a crystal card and an animal card, and maybe an angel. depending on how much time I have, and then I feel like I'm set for the day and then I exercise, and I mean, I pretty much do do that every day and then, you know, get dressed and I'm on my way. So, yeah, takes a lot of time. No question about that. You sometimes have to, you know, is it 10 minutes? Is it a half an hour? Is it an hour? I mean, including, you know, breakfast and all that. It's, uh, it's probably like, I like to have a good three hourly time before I have to leave the house. And, you know, and honestly, part of that is not beating myself up if I can't do it all. You know, I, I kind of have a rule of myself too, like, unless I'm getting an. I'm not gonna get up before five. Like, that's somehow that before that enters some zone of like, now you're being ridiculous. Um, so, but yeah, it takes a lot of time, but I, that's the way I feel best and I'm very grateful for the luxury of being able to do that. It's, it's wonderful. And as you say, you probably couldn't have done it when you had small children or Yeah. Would've been up with you. So what are the benefits? Like what do you see as you've been doing this for how many years now? Um, boy, many years. I'm gonna say at least five. Right. And, and so what do you see as being the difference of, you know, Nicole before or five years ago and Nicole now in this five years? I would say I'm much more calm. I mean, I, I do have sort of a type A slash Pitta if you have any auric knowledge, personality, so it's important to me to sort of, you know, have calm entering my day. So Fire, which we can certainly talk about. Yes. Fire, which we, I'm sure we'll talk about more on another podcast. Just to be calm and also to be grounded cuz I can be very in my head. And I also tend, and this is a whole other subject, but I tend toward equilibrium and dizziness issues and it's, I really have to focus on really centering myself in my body. Like literally to the point of, you know, feet flat on the floor, et cetera. And it just, it just makes a big difference in how my day goes. And, and so I'm gonna ask your astrological, so you are, I know you're a Libra Scorpio. Oh, you're a Scorpio. Oh, so you're the end. Of course. You are. So Scorpio. I always think the beginning, but I dunno why. So the end of October and what's your rising, which is how people see you in the. Aries Aries. Oh, right, okay. Um, my sun sign is Aries. And what's your moon sign? Leo. And so, and, and our moon is, you know, where we find our emotional satisfaction. So if you are not the center of attention, you're not happy Well, as one astrologer said to me once, and I just loved this so much. I wanna be, I wanna hide and be seen at the same time, hide being the Scorpio and be seen the Leo part. And that is absolutely true. And as a matter of fact, the other day I had a walk with a new friend who is the opposite. I don't remember what her rising was, but she's a Leo with a Scorpio moon. And I told her that and we just had a good laugh about. how true that is. Um, uh, wow. And so let's get it all out at the table. And then, and in human design, you are a six two, which is the teacher and the hermit, which makes sense as well as that because as exactly, you have to show up and as the hermit you, you know, you have to go inside to sort of take care of yourself and, and probably to access your creativity and your manifesting generator. Yes. Yes, exactly. So, and I mean, that makes a lot of sense. Cause I know, you know, Leo is a lot about creativity and that's, you know, yet another topic of, that's something that I feel that I have really, you know, after many years of trying to figure out like where I, I, I feel like I'm creative in there somewhere, but where is it that I'm finally. Doing that. And I love being seen in that way. That's, that's very important to me. You're sculpting and you're also designing the tutoring. Yes. Which is one of your routine, so Yeah. Oh, that's interesting. With my daily practice. Yes, spotlight on you. So in my head, I get up at four 30, but that doesn't happen Um, and ideally I get up at five, but at the moment it's six. It's freezing here. I've just sold my house in Sydney. Oh. Moved to the country and it's kind of two degrees and that's two degrees Celsius. I have no idea what that is in, in Fahrenheit. So, It's, and, and the classic is just to give a slight little bit of background. So since I lived in New York, I've always wanted to live in a loft and I didn't have a loft in New York and I always said, oh, I really want to live in New York. And I thought I'd be living in a loft in, at some point in the future in New York. And so I moved down to a place called Mystery Bay, which is just stunning on the far south coast of, uh, new South Wales. And I'm here for six. and within two weeks I ran into this guy that I knew 20 years ago who s an old butter factory and invited us for lunch and he had aloft to rent. So I'm now living in aloft in country New South Wales about the universe taking the piss again, but, and my bedroom is in the old cool room, so you can imagine, you know, no fridges. They were trying to keep that butter. Hard and I'm sleeping in the cool room, so it's so bed in the morning, so, so six o'clock is the best I'm doing at the moment. Um, my practice is very much based in Contini Yoga, though I've done a lot of work with Koala, who is an amazing teacher. I've done a lot of work with lots of other teachers, but my daily practice is definitely based around Contini yoga and so I get up and I will do some warmups. Um, I make myself a cup of tea. I'm on the mat straight away and I do have a cold shower, so that's something that'll probably freak some people out. Even in this, even just after the kuru, when I get down the mat, I warm'em up and I do a crea and then I do a meditation and, and so my practice, depending on what I have going on that day, can vary from anything from 11 minutes to two and a half hours. And with, as part of that, I like some incense. I, you know, thank the earth spirits for taking care of me. I nearly always will put my feet out on the earth or get out on into the nature as soon as I can. Just from that point of view of, I find that it's really grounding and I'm also a fire sign. I'm, and so, It's your beautiful talk and I find that, that it's super important for to be star, stay in my body because Aries is ruled by the head and I can spend it, spend a lot of time in my head. So by doing that, you know, they say in Contini Yoga, if you give 10% of your day to your spirit, it'll give back to you for the rest of the day. And what I have found that that's certainly true, and it's one of the things that kind of pisses me off about all of these practices is that, you know, they really advocate you taking time to give to yourself. And what you find when you do actually enter into the practices is that. they're right. That's been happening for thousands of years and they're right. You know, in the last 50 years we've made ourselves these kind of, you know, productive human beings. We work extraordinarily long hours and, and very often in one position. So for me, it's super important for that daily practice, and I see it as kind of cleaning my subconscious for the day, letting go of whatever needs to be let go of, but it also just sets up my day from. from that creative point of view. If I'm working on a job, I'm a designer, an idea will often come through. Um, if I'm trying to figure out something or I want an answer to a particular issue, it's, it's when I let my mind go that the, the answer comes because we always know what to do. Like when we are fully in our bodies, we always know what to do. And. And what it really, the gift that it has given me, and I've been doing this now for probably about 12 years, you know, so it's a long time and it's completely changed my life. I mean, it doesn't mean I do it every day. It means I do it probably 360 days of the year, maybe three 50 scope of three 50, but, you know, so it's not perfect. Oh God. But, you know, I'm, I'm very disciplined about it and I've really, you know, learned. The discipline, which used to terrify me. And you know, anytime I see someone in a uniform, I used to think sheep. And so, But, but discipline gives you freedom because it gives you structure, you know, and you know, once you have a system and you're not constantly making decisions, it liberates your creativity. It liberates your energy. It means that you can be much more discerning in your day, decide what you're gonna focus on, you get less distracted. All of those things that are really topical now and super topical in this space of people working from home. And Covid super topical. Technology is firmly planted in our lives, and we need to become responsible for. How we manage ourselves and how we manage our time. So I can't, I'm very, very passionate about a day daily practice. I just think that it, as a kid, we used to, you know, say prayers before we went to bed growing up in Ireland. But it's that thing of book ending, you know, it's that thing of really giving your day some structure. When I also do, as Nicole does, I pull a tarot card. I like some incense. I have a gratitude practice. I. Think in terms of what is that I'd like to happen in that day. And I really sort of, you know, just feel at the end of the practice that I'm ready to get into my day. I always have a notebook by me when I'm doing my practice and I make notes. Um, you know about my day through Nicole. I do that Earth. I check in with the elements. That was one of the tips that she gave me. I check in with the moon cycles. I check in with the astrology. Um, and I love it, you know, and as I say, it can be, you know, a really short practice or it can be a longer practice, depending, but I notice if I miss even a couple of days that I find myself automatically back on that mat. You know, I find a difference in my energy. I find my energy shifts in some ways that I'm not as calm. I'm not as joyful, I'm not as kind. Maybe, you know, I could be slightly snappier or whatever. And in terms of the astrology, I'm Aries. You know, like Aries is, let's go, you know, let's plan later. And my moon is Scorpio and my rising is Pisces. So, um, So people see me as this kind of, you know, dreamy, you know, um, hi, see you. But I'm an Aries Um, so we're the opposite. I've got like two fires in a water and you're the opposite. And I totally relate to that, that dichotomy. And I think it's, it's probably one that's present for a lot of women. And I see the younger generation are much better at this because they've been sort of trained, you know, because we. you know, everybody's been taking their photographs since they were babies. You know, they pose without even thinking. Um, that I have this real fight within myself about being seen and wanting to be seen, wanting to be, you know, at the forefront, wanting to express myself in the world, wanting to do that, and also being terrified by it. In human design. I'm also a six two, which is the teacher in the hermit, and I'm a generator. Um, and yes, definitely Pitta So I think it's useful for to think in terms of how, for people who are completely new to the idea of a daily practice, um, how to set one up and also, um, The really important thing I think is number one is, as I always say, you know, just cuz you fall out of your practice, it doesn't mean you quit. It means you just, you just didn't do it that day and there's no. You know, you don't beat yourself up and you just go back in the next day. Um, we can attach, I can attach a kini meditation to this, which is a three minute meditation, which is, um, What it does is it balances the brain and it, we've got three minds. We've got a negative mind, a positive mind, and nutri mind, and our negative mind. The, the positive side of that is that it protects us. It's our is always the one that's on alert. You know, it's that amygdala. Um, but the negative side is that, is that you go into fear and you don't take the risks or you don't take the chances, you won't like creating a podcast and then the positive mind, it's fantastic cuz it goes like, oh, the opportunity, oh wow, you know, rose colored glasses. But it's not discerning, it doesn't, you know, you're not choosing, oh, is this a really good opportunity for me? And also as women, we've been trained to be yes people. So lots of people pleasing. So the negative side of the positive mind is that you can just take on too much. Um, and you're not taking on things that light you up and that are really good for you. And so what you want to do is come back into the neutral mind, which is the reality of. Oh, if we do a podcast, that's good to mean ours of work. Do we have the space for it and do we have the time for it? And do we have the passion for it? Will it light us up? Um, and obviously we've decided, yes, um, we're, and so that's what that really short meditation will do you at any time. I've thought it children, I've thought it to my nieces and nephews and people, I see people pulling it out. Because your, your hands are directly connected to your heart and it's Infinity Life, death, rebirth, and everything that we begin will end. So we'll attach that in the show notes. Is there a particular meditation that you, that's a favorite of yours, Nicole? Or what's your top tip for to start a daily practice? Well, I think there's, because a lot of this is, She listening to yourself, who are you? So it's, it's, to me, my immediate thought is to like have that inquiry. All right. Here, here. Now we've both talked about various things that we do. So what sparks your interest the most? Like, ooh, it would be fun to pull a tarot card every day and then write down what it is. And even if you don't even know anything about tarot or it doesn't have. Tero, there are a zillion cards out there. Oracle, Oracle cards of All Natures, if you like crystals, they're crystal card, angel. You know, all these things that I mentioned earlier. But is that the jumping point off for you? Is it, is it meditation? Is that something that you've always wanted to do? And Look, I had meditated for many years before I went to tm, and I'd wanted to do that for a really long time. that's a really good framework for me. Um, you know, a co in tm, they want you to meditate twice a day for 20 minutes. I'm not so good about the second one, I'll say, but it's also comes back to that thing of like, 20 minutes is ideal, but don't beat yourself up. And was thinking about that when you were talking about the negative mind, where it's like, okay, we set these structures on our. It shouldn't be a structure within which you, it starts to give you, what am I trying to say? Hand you something with the paddle. Like, okay, now, oh good. Now I can beat myself up with that. That's completely not the point. But prison to Prism, the structure is a support. Right? Exactly. I love that. It's a support, but you know, choose one. Oh, what I, I was gonna say about tm, if you can't do 20 minutes, you can't do 20 minutes. but, and I kind of love this, if you have five minutes, if you have 10 minutes, you're going in with the intention to meditate for that five or 10 minutes rather than getting through 10 minutes of going, eh, don't wanna, you know, do the rest of it kind of thing. Which I think is kind of a good construct to work with. But that's, that's the one rule that I always, um, stick to for myself, is that if I sit down and I start an 11 minute meditation or a 31 minute, me, I can't get up before that time because I've made the commitment to myself that I'm going to do that. And if I break that commitment to myself, and I really do believe that the greatest damage we do in our lives is the promises we don't keep to ourselves. Like if I say to you, I'll be here at, you know, 10 o'clock, I'll be here at 10 o'clock. But if I say to myself, oh, I'll do it at 10, you know? Yeah. Something else can get in the way. Whereas I really think that this one rule, if you set the intention and you can miss a day, but if you set the intention to sit down for three minutes, sit there and feel the joy or the discomfort or the absolute like, ah, for that three minutes, because that's as to your point. That's where you're learning about yourself. You're learning Wow, wow. This, and in Contini yoga, it's famous that. right. You really learn about a minute. Like you learn how long a minute can be mm-hmm. and can be extraordinarily hard, but, but there's such, um, gift at the other side of that. Mm-hmm. you want to speak to that because I'm sure you've encountered it Yes, absolutely. And, and actually it's funny cuz one of the things I instituted because of talking to you, which I forgot to mention, is breath of fire. Doing that for three minutes and maybe we can just on another podcast sort of talk about these practices a little more. Um, and I, and I don't know a ton about Kundalini. I've done a little bit of it here and there and I, that is something I'd love to know more about. But I understand I've done this breath of fire practice cause I am CER certified in yoga therapy and Iyer vava. So, you know, these things make their way into. or other areas, but just that concept of it's certainly embodiment, but also the, that it's good for your organs that it's good to get things moving interiorly before you have breakfast. And it's, and I also do, which I also forgot to mention, I always do, you know, lemon water before I have anything to, to eat or drink. And. That sort of concept of like, okay, well I'm taking care of my body even if I don't have the perfect eating day ahead of me, or I have a glass of wine later, or, it is, but at least, and your body comes to expect that and you know, you have that nice little moment in the morning of like, okay, well yes, I'm taking care of my mind. I'm taking care of my soul, I'm taking care of my body, and. Yeah, it's great. I'd like to speak to that because I think this is a really interesting, um, topic because one of the things that I talk about is the excessive denial in this kind of wellness world. What I see is the excessive denial is people who are, they're, they're yoing, you know, two and a half hours or even more a day. They're green juicing. They're, there's, they're celery. Yeah, there's celery juice, there's supplements. They're vegetarian, they're vegan, they're is pure, and there's nothing wrong with that. But the reality of it is, is that for to take care of yourself, And I often say that, and then there's the moments where they crack and you know, there's the quart of ice cream and the bottle of vodka But maybe people don't do that. But I've been in situations where I drink coffee and people frown on me for drinking coffee. I eat meat. People frown on me for eating meat, you know? And so my philosophy is, is that you, do you discover what works for you and nobody's going to tell you. I'm certainly. To stop having a glass of wine. If you wanna have a glass of wine, if that what brings you pleasure and joy in your life, then enjoy it. If your coffee is something that you love, enjoy it. If being vegan brings you tremendous pleasure in your life to that, you know, but it's, this is really around self-discovery. It's, it's around taking care of yourself. It's around tuning into yourself and learning. What do you need, what you want and what you desire beyond your social conditioning, beyond your familial conditioning, beyond your environmental conditioning? We've been told since we were kids in terms of like what we should eat, how we should behave, how we should interact, all of those things. And to the point when you're an adult where you get to choose, and many, many people don't see that they have the choice and that is actually. the biggest gift as a human is your power to exercise your choice, and we can't control the external circumstances, but we can control how we enter into them. Yes, absolutely. I completely agree with that and, and I do often have that feeling while I'm engaging in this, like what? This is the gift I give myself every. It's, um, it's, it's very, very powerful and, and it's fun. I mean, yeah, there's a day here and there where I go, okay, I don't feel like that, whatever, but I do it and I feel better and I feel more like myself. And, but I'll compounds upon itself in the sense of, I mean, we're both 60 ish and. you know, I know. I mean, Mo I have friends, a variety of ages, but most of my friends are friends, are generally my age. And I see a lot of women get sort of struggling with, well, who am have done the thing, have been married, the kids, the job, the this, and, and really who am I and do I have any creativity? And of course, creativity can. zillions of forms doesn't mean necessarily making an object. It can of course, but it doesn't have to. And, but it's, I'm not gonna say impossible, but it's certainly harder to get there if you're not listening to yourself, if you're not finding that part of you within you. Even if, if you're sitting down and going, or starting your meditation or starting your, your. that you're marking down for the day going, who? Who am I? Creatively it's, I mean, maybe I'll get somewhere that way. I never got anywhere that way. But it's more along the lines of just like n, you know, kind of just letting yourself expand into this space and discovering yourself like, oh, well I have that interest, or, Or just, I'm gonna try this today, or I'm gonna take that class, or just, just having fun with finding out who you are. I noticed a lot of people who refused to engage in this conversation. Particularly I think with, with the couple of years that we've had that people are. they're lost. You know, they're like, oh my God. There's a realization of, wow, I've done all the things that I should have done. I've lived in the way that I should have lived. I've achieved all that. I should have achieved. Well, what's it all about? I talk in terms of when we'll do an an on this, but um, in terms of that, there's stages of life of where there's the handmade and, and the. When you are exploring the world and sort of going, oh my God, it's so exciting and it's waiting for me, or at least that was me. And then there's a point where you are the prince princess where you are building your kingdom. You've figured it out, and your ego is really in the space at this point in time where you're deciding, okay, so what standard, what level am I going to go for? What am I going to build? You choose your prince or your princess. You often have children. Or you may not have, I have never had children, but you set up your kingdom, but you build the container and the walls and whatever they are, and at whatever level and whatever standard you want. And some people want more. Some people want less. Some people want a mini, some people want a Ferrari. And none of it's right. None of it's wrong. And then by the time you get to the third stage, which is the king and the. which is the point where you look around and you realize it's around legacy, it's around sharing what it is that you've, you know, it's not about gathering the riches, but I am passionate and I really do believe in that it is wise to gather some of those riches because that certainly we have a money earning time in our lives. Be a benefactor of your future self and we'll also do a F on that one. But, um, But the last phase is really around enjoying and being able to return in yoga. They talk about it around the age of 49 is returning to your innocence. And for me, I do think, I look at it and I see it as, you know, the adventure of life, the game of life, and how do you play with it? Like what game do you want to play or do you want to be weighed down by us? And I know a lot of people who are weighed down by us. Yes. That's obviously not the goal, but I, I, I kind of, kind of more to the point of what I was saying earlier, I also see a lot of people just terrified, well, who am I without outside of being the wife, the mother, the employee, the even best friend, the daughter that. you know, aging parents that you have to take care of. It's, it's like getting rid of all the noise of all of those things, all of which are of course very important. But quieting all of that to go, what's, what's left here? But, and without having terror about it and without having the fear of taking some risks that you might wanna take, in order to discover that, whether that risk is well, what if I'm laughed at? What if I make a fool of myself? What if I like, if you plan a trip by yourself, for example, what if I'm lonely? You know? Yeah. And if you leave your husband, what if I'm lonely? What if I never find. Partner. You know, I mean, there's a million things like that, but it's very easy to get caught up in all of those what ifs and miss the beauty of the opportunities that are presented and miss the beauty of the relationship with the only person that you are going to wake up with every day for the rest of your life. I mean, this is the, the beauty really of the opportunity is, is that, you come more into yourself. You're more fun to be around. You are, you are a kinder, more compassionate person. You're more creative, all of those things, and you are more tolerant of everything else. Um, so, so there's less drama and more, more fun. So, So what we can do, I think, is to leave him meditation or leave some tips for meditation. I mean, and again, like Nicole said, just do start with one thing. Just say, I'm gonna do one thing. And I heard a guy years and years ago, and he said that, you know, he was like most people, he would meditate and then life would get great. Life was crap. And he'd meditate and then life would get great and he'd start meditating. And um, and now he does a thing which he calls Rise p meditate. So nothing gets in the way of that. You know, you get up, you, you pee, and then you meditate. And that means maybe an extra three minutes, an extra five minutes, you know that you get up earlier. And I think that's a great place to start online. If you don't have terra cards, you can do it in so, so many different ways. Light a piece of insulin. Yeah. Put your feet. Yeah. Because ultimately I think that, that if you give it a chance, you won't even really miss that sleep. You won't even, you'll adjust and you will have, you will have introduc introduced yourself to the richness of something that, I mean, if you have to do a cost benefit analysis, that really benefits you more than that 10 minutes, half an hour even of. Sleep a gift you're giving yourself. You know, I mean in, it's called in Eastern Traditions, it's called Sada, which is a daily spiritual practice. Mm-hmm. and it's taking your laundry out so that you start your day afresh. And I was listening to Caroline, miss yesterday, just before we wrap up, and I've never heard it quite said in this way before that Some people think, why am I. Manifesting what it is that I want to create in my life and, and how she put it was so beautifully. And she said, there's time, space, and speed. And some people, like, when I decided to sell my house and to make this move and things just landed, one after the other, after the other, between some work. Place to live and I'm starting to teach yoga and the local all in another week, and it's all by invitation. So curious how it all occurred, but then there's other times that you just kinda gonna go, when's that gonna happen? And her take on it is, is that if you're still hanging on to your past and weighed down by your past, which is W E I G H D, you know, which can sometimes manifest in your body as well. Sure. Then you have to wait because any happy memories are already integrated in your body, in your biology, so your biography is in your biology, and so any happy memories are light. They're not taking up any energy. They're not taking up any space. Unhappy memories. they weigh you down, they make you pause, they make you stop. Not openhearted, you're not joyful. You're not like running at the opportunity, you're, you know, hanging out there. Mm-hmm. And so that can be the pause. And so you have to process that before you can bring in whatever it is that you want. And I just think that that possibly in a way, encapsulates the. Your daily practice and there'll always be more desires. Let's, let's finish with that one. The desire. Yeah. Yeah. Although in the interest of book ending, just to take a couple more minutes, I want, I'm curious, do you have an evening practice? Oh, yes I do. Um, so I journal in the morning and I record my. My tower card and I also write it, is that I want to do that day and then at the end of the day, and I've become, I mean I sometimes I'm brilliant at this and then there's moments where I lose it, but I've become much more diligent about it. And I Bullet journal. And I bullet journal because a bullet journal, basically you're writing bullets as though, you know, close the fridge, you know, whatever it is. And at the end of the day I tick off and go, oh, so how did that go? But I, but it's quick, you know, like in the morning my journaling is probably two or three minutes, and if, you know, obviously there's something that needs to be written more. And at the end of the day, it's probably a minute, but, and then I do, um, you know, kind of close down and I might do a little bit of tapping, um, or something before I go to sleep. Oh, interesting. Both, yeah, both the bullet journaling and the, and the tapping would be interesting to, I, I know a little bit about tapping, but not too much. But, um, yeah, so that's an area where I feel like I could use more work. But I do, first of all, I can't go to sleep without reading and I, I'm a huge reader and, um, that's mostly my time for. So sometimes I'm sleep in two minutes and sometimes it takes an hour and 45 minute or 45 minutes, and it just depends what, what I've eaten, what time it is, et cetera, et cetera. But, um, but I do try to sort of mentally review my day and, you know, again, think about what I'm grateful for, et cetera. But like that, that to me is much more, it's all a work in progress because it has to. fluid, but that's an area I'd like to develop more. Completely. Completely. And I think that if, if there's anything, it is that do something and then allow it to change and it will change. Like anything, if you see the benefit of it, you keep repeating it. And, and the concept of really, of the daily patches is, um, get to know yourself so you get to know what your habits are and what habits are working for you and what habits aren't working for you, and are you ready to let go of those habits that aren't exactly maybe and you may not be, and that's okay. You know? Yeah. And that's okay. Big fun. And the next one, what shall we talk about for the next. Let's talk about, we could talk about exercise, we could talk about sleep. Oh, let's talk about sleep. I think sleep is a big one for people. Huge. Yeah. All right. So thank you for listening and I hope you found that useful. And I'd love to hear if it has inspired you for it to. get back to your daily practice. I start a daily practice and remember, start really simply, you know, I remember when I first, um, started getting into this work and we were asked this question of, you know, how much time do you think you can do every day? And of course, you know, with super enthusiasm, everybody goes an hour, 45 minutes, 30 minutes. And you know, and the woman said, you know, I think she might have said a half an hour. I recommend three minutes. Start small. You can always increase it. Okay. If you enjoy this, please share. Please review, and I look forward to speaking with you Again. Thank you for listening. Really appreciate you being here.
